About the Journal

Islamic Law Perspectives (ILP) is scientific journal publication dedicated to advancing doctrinal, empirical, and interdisciplinary research within the broad domains of Islamic law, legal studies, and contemporary socio-legal issues, with online version of E-ISSN : 3164-3116. Starting online in 2026 and published two issues per year (every June and December) by Global Cendekia Inti, this journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), principles of Islamic law (uṣūl al-fiqh), maqāṣid al-sharīʿah, Islamic family law, criminal law, constitutional law, commercial law, and comparative legal studies. It also includes research on the application of Islamic law in contemporary legal systems, legal reform, human rights, environmental law, and the intersection of Islamic law with social, political, economic, and technological developments.

The journal addresses the development and implementation of Islamic legal principles in modern societies, the analysis of legal institutions and judicial practices, and the evaluation of legal frameworks that promote justice, equity, and public welfare. Islamic law from contemporary perspectives emphasizes the dynamic interaction between classical legal traditions and present-day challenges, where legal interpretation and policy development are guided by the objectives of Sharīʿah, ethical values, and contextual approaches to foster justice, legal certainty, and sustainable social development.
